Hard metal coating is the application of stainless-based hard metal alloys with thermal spray systems such as arc spray. Our catalog lists it in the 45–63 RC hardness range. It is used on parts exposed to wear and corrosion, such as shafts, rollers and sleeves, to protect new parts or repair worn surfaces.
The most suitable coating and method are determined with our expert team according to the operating conditions. Contact us with your part drawing, dimensions or sample.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is hard metal coating preferred for?
Many purposes, mainly build-up and wear resistance, depending on working conditions. The hardness range is 45–63 RC.
How is it used on cylinders and bearing seats?
In some cylinder applications it roughens the surface so there is no slipping while wear resistance stays high. It is also widely used to restore the bearing-seat diameters of rotors, blowers, shafts and cylinder journals to their original dimensions, up to 5 mm thickness on one side of the diameter.
Can you recoat a worn part?
Yes. We can recoat a worn part, machine it back to its original dimensions and bring it back to like-new condition. If an earlier coating exists on the part, it is removed, the necessary preparation is done, and the part can be coated again with better properties.
What should I send to get a quote?
Your company name; phone and e-mail; the part's field of use; the reason for coating; quantity; material type; a technical drawing or diameter and length dimensions. Sending photos and dimensions via WhatsApp (+90 533 551 04 21) is enough.
